If you’re visiting with the whole family, and need a child-friendly option, consider visiting Scott’s Place Playground. Scott’s Place Barrier-Free Playground was made possible by local Wellington residents in honor of their son Scott who passed away in childhood. The playground, which was built by more than 300 community volunteers, was designed to meet the needs of children with varying levels of disability, as well as able-bodied children.

Wellington is also home to a nature preservation, Peaceful Waters Sanctuary. Peaceful Waters Sanctuary is a 30-acre wetlands park, boasting 1,500 feet of elevated nature boardwalks, and a mile of walking trails. Featured throughout the park are an assortment of displays which help to educate about the variety of animals and plant species which are native to South Florida.

For those who enjoy a lively game of Pickleball, stop by Wellington’s Pickleball Open Play! Players are welcome to drop by on a first come, first served basis. You will need to bring your own paddle and balls to play.
